I HOPE I'M ON THE GUEST LIST...

Some geniuses over at Dannijo have taken all the difficulty out of the mix-n-match bracelet trend. For those who are mixing-challenged, consider this a blessing from above! Their "Arm Party" collection includes many unique pairings of their beautiful bracelets. Standing alone, these bracelets already make a scene; but, when matched in awesome groupings, it's a party!

TEEN VOGUE BOYS

I'm a HUGE fan of Teen Vogue. It's the only magazine I actually subscribe to. I'm currently having withdrawals because the latest issue was June/July, so my wait has been stretched to two unbearably long months. Yesterday, however, I got a glimpse of the August issue featuring Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield (pictured above) and I'm positively sure these two months have been worth the wait! Emma Stone is beautiful (no doubt about that), but I'm especially excited because there is finally a MALE star on the cover! As much as I adore the enviable ladies who normally grace the cover, I find a manly main feature refreshing. The last cover boy was Justin Bieber in October 2010 and, as much as I've loved him, he had already been a teen heart-throb for quite some time. Finally, after over a year and a half, a leading man in the form of the relatively new Andrew Garfield has appeared! As I eagerly await for the arrival of my new issue within the next couple weeks, I'll enjoy this small compilation of previous covers including boys!

{ I know their names are on the cover, but I'll just clarify)
{1. Taylor Lautner} {2. Zac Efron}
{3. Justin Bieber} {4. Orlando Bloom}
{5. Daniel Radcliffe & Emma Watson} {6. Joe Jonas from a feature with Demi Lovato}
{7. Topher Grace & Scarlett Johansson} {8. Logan Lerman & Laura Love [talk about alliteration!] were not actually on the cover, but I LOVED the feature they did!}

SUMMER SOLSTICE

Summer is officially here! Even though I've been out of school for about two weeks now, the commencement of this new season seems to cause for a whole 'nother celebration! Unfortunately I don't have the ultimate bonfire or an amazing pool party planned, but can't wait to put one in the works. The things listed are some of the images that come to mind when I think,"What do I want to do before the end of summer...?" Whether that entails doing, making, wearing, or eating, I'm excited to live up my senior summer (not in  a wild child way ;) and make it count!
1. I love this girl's look. The turban and sunglasses... she captures the essence of summer!
2. Mara Hoffman's Resort 2013 boasted many stunners, but this one especially stood out to me. This oversized-sweater-styled dress (or is it a sweater with a skirt...?) seems perfect for a beach bonfire!
3. Quay sunglasses. I'm SO impressed with this affordable collection of eyewear, and I wouldn't hesitate to throw on these electric blue square frames when the light hits my eyes!
4. I'm hesitant towards fedoras, but I might just have to steal this men's one from Eugenia Kim.
5. Can you say "heaven"? I'd love to just take an afternoon and relax on these classic striped pool chairs. (Best pool chairs ever: Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix, AZ)

GOLD RUSH

GOLD RUSH

You'd have to be living under a rock to miss the glamorous stills from Baz Luhrmann's newest book-to-film adaptation masterpiece, The Great Gatsby. Besides the actors, the shining star for this movie is most definitely the glitzy wardrobe. It's hard not to be romanced by the drop waist beaded gowns, no? And have you SEEN those headpieces!? If my head weren't shaped so weird I'd reach right through the screen and snatch those beautiful bands right off their pixie cut adorned heads. Alas, direct computer to person delivery has not yet been made available to my generation, and I do not have access to the wardrobe department of such a film *sad face*. BUT I have compiled a list of items that just might cut it in the make-me-wanna-foxtrot department with a modern twist. If I had the privilege of going to a summer soiree or two at the Gatsby mansion, these pieces would definitely be worn first with the jazziest of attitudes!

(P.S.- this is my first blog post, so cut me some slack- I'm sure I'll get the hang of this whole "blogger" thing soon enough ;)
